About Me

Bill Curtis

Playing, teaching, and recording fretted strings and percussion in the Northeast US since 2015

BIO

I started making music when I was 9 years old, playing flute and percussion in my school band. After my freshman year of high school I got involved in my local DIY music scene, playing drums and guitar in punk and metal bands, and writing and recording songs.

By my senior year, what was originally just a hobby had become an obsession. I went to The University of New Hampshire, studied jazz guitar, graduated in 2015 with a BA in Music Performance, and began teaching private lessons immediately. In 2018 I found my way into theater and began playing in pits and onstage around New England.

My experience in several different genres and settings provides me with a unique perspective as both a performer and educator. I have played showtunes in historic auditoriums and toured tiny dive bars with punk rock bands. I can teach and play everything from swing to metal authentically. I have songwriting experience, studio experience, and quality recording gear for remote sessions. Whether you’re looking to take help you your creative skills to the next level, or for someone to play for your next show or album, I can help make it happen.
